The Healthy Mind is dedicated to the celebration of human courage, strength and determination contained within every one of us. No matter the challenge, you have the potential to make positive change in your life beginning today that can reverberate for a lifetime. All the strength you will ever need already resides within you at this very moment.
The goal of The Healthy Mind is to provide information that educates, inspires and empowers individuals towards positive change in their lives. This will be accomplished by covering a wide range of mind-body topics relating to emotional and physical well-being. Knowledge truly is power. We at The Healthy Mind hope to provide a forum that helps individuals on their journey towards positive and lasting change in their lives.
Knowledge → Empowerment → Action
I founded The Healthy Mind Network in 2010 as a vehicle by which to discuss the beauty and complexity of human behavior. I am also passionately committed to reducing the stigma still associated with emotional illness as well as its treatment.
Most importantly, I am constantly inspired by the courage and steadfast determination of the patients I am privileged to treat. I am truly humbled by their amazing strength and perseverance. Despite their struggle - and senseless stigma - they dare to move forward in their journey towards health. Despite the uncertainty, they carve out lives filled with both meaning and purpose.
I believe that Action - in the midst of adversity - is the true definition of strength and courage.
It is this very strength and courage that serves as my primary inspiration for the creation of The Healthy Mind Network and the phrase “…never doubt how truly powerful you are”.
For you truly are that powerful...
Thank you for visiting The Healthy Mind.
In Good Health,
Peter Zafirides, MD
